The Church of England day School opened its doors in January 1860 with 100 children on the roll, one Master and two Pupil Teachers. It moved from Snells Hall to the new purpose-built accommodation on its present site in 1967.
Brief:
The school contacted ESP to renovate their whole EYFS playground. ESP visited the site to get measurements, take photos and discuss the options for the upgraded play area. The headteacher really wanted to keep the natural look and feel of the school which is already situated in a woodland type area.
ESP have now installed a natural and engaging EYFS playground for the 4-5 year olds. ESP removed items from within the area and installed a messy play area with bark, a water wall feature, a tangled climbing frame for the children to increase their fine and gross motor skills, a hollow log tunnel and finished off with Artificial Grass surfacing and timber pickett fencing around the perimeter.
