Rolls Crescent Primary School, Manchester

The school works hard to prepare today’s children for tomorrow’s world. Their aim is for all of their children, irrespective of background or special need, to be prepared for success in their future lives. They achieve this by nurturing and developing their achievement, their experiences and their skills.
Location: Manchester
The Brief
The school had an area of old climbing equipment in KS1 that had been condemned and needed removing. They wanted to replace the old equipment with similar items because they were popular among the children. The equipment needed to be suitable for children aged 5 to 7 years old and the budget was 10k. The existing wetpour surface had shrunk and lifted around the edges and also needed to be repaired.
The Project
ESP Play created a design that included 8 different pieces of trim trail equipment that were suitable for the intended age range. It included cutting back and repairing the existing wetpour surface as well as removing and disposing of the existing equipment.
The Outcome
The children have new, safe, challenging pieces of climbing equipment that they can learn new skills on as well as develop their existing ones. The school was very happy with the end result and said they would use us again and recommend us to other schools too. The development has made a huge improvement to the playground, take a look at the before and after photo’s to see if you agree.
