A SOLUTION FIT FOR PURPOSE!

Having previously installed at Robert Miles, ESP were invited back to scope works associated with the removal and replacement of artificial grass in their EYFS setting.

On closer inspection, it was evident their existing grass had been laid to wetpour. This had either been overlooked by other contractors or they had concluded it was a suitable base to overlay. By determining with reasonable accuracy, the wetpour was approximately 20 years old, we urged the customer to consider full removal and disposal of rubber back to the tarmac and concrete base. The customers preferred surface choice was wetpour and our current recommendation is 40mm minimum thickness.

Despite the significant increase in cost, the customer was assured by ESPs commitment to only deliver the project to a correct specification. Our honesty and unwillingness to compromise on the works scope ultimately resulted in project award.

Warranty claims against defective surfacing represent the play industries biggest product liability and here at ESP we stive to ensure customers have a safe, sustainable and robust solution for the functional life span of the product.
