Raeburn is a larger than average primary school nestled in the heart of Bromborough on the beautiful Wirral Peninsula. They are very much a school that is at the heart of the community and they pride themselves on the good relationships that exist between their families and the school.

Their aim is to ensure all of their children feel cared for, valued and nurtured. Their caring and committed staff are dedicated to provide a family feel in their school. They value all of their children, accepting each of their pupils for the way they are and celebrating individuality.

Raeburn Primary school received one of our weekly e-shots just at the right time, they responded and booked in a free consultation to discuss the addition of a trim trail for their KS2 pupils. The school had some sports premium money they wanted to invest but weren’t sure if the funds could be spent on the equipment, we explained that our understanding was that they could use the money on a trim trail because it would meet the indicators of engaging all pupils in regular physical activity and offer all pupils a broader experience of a range of activities.

Joe, the schools PE Lead, showed our consultant an existing area of natural grass that was fenced off, it was the perfect space for a trim trail. There was some old equipment in the area that had been condemned but the schools site manager was going to remove it before the new equipment was installed. The trail was to be used by the KS2 children so we needed to ensure it would be challenging, we made sure to include intermediate and advanced items as well as some simplified ones too. We originally created two designs for the school to choose from; one with even more challenging higher level items that required a safety surface along with a low level option that did not require any safety surfacing. The school chose the option without the surfacing because they could get four more pieces of equipment without it.

Altogether we installed fourteen pieces of low level trim trail equipment each piece providing different levels of challenge for the KS2 pupils. Beverley, the school business manager said she was delighted with the service and the installation, she also said she would use us again and recommend us to other schools, safe to say we have another happy customer.
