Mabel Prichard School, Oxford

Mabel Pritchard School in Oxford is a community special school for children and young people with complex needs from the ages of 2 to 19. Their Quad area was a dull, overgrown, redundant space. All four sides of the quad has windowed corridors looking into the area, it wasn’t a very nice space for the students to look at when they were walking around the school.
ESP PLAY were so excited to assist the school with this project and we knew it was going to be an amazing transformation.

We cleared the overgrowth and completed the installation in just 4 days. It is now an inviting space with bright colour surfacing, different textures, water play and a stage area. They have a canopy for shelter and a ramp to link the upper level and lower level, making it accessible to all.

During the installation the students were watching the team and waving and smiling. It’s so rewarding for us to see the children so happy with their new area.
