Little Gaddesden CofE Primary School, Berkhamsted

Little Gaddesden CofE Primary School is a small rural primary school. They were looking to update their tired playground equipment and develop new areas of interest for the children. As they are in a rural setting, any equipment needed to be sympathetic to their environment and surroundings. They wanted to replace the existing ‘ hut/ gazebo’ with something very similar but with low sides to enable visibility. They also wanted to update the existing trim trail and their EYFS space which need to allow for emergency vehicle access.

The trim trail we installed had a range of challenge that were still suitable for the younger children and an artificial grass safety surface was included to keep the natural feel the school wanted. We included a bespoke octagonal shelter with seating that was open sided to provide visibility. In the EYFS area we installed a sensory roadway with one of our TangleWood units with a mix of rubber mulch and wetpour to keep withing budget.
The school are delighted with the completed project and the children love the new equipment.
