Having worked with ESP PLAY previously, the chair of governors contacted us to assist with the adventure playground project. The existing equipment was rotting and the bark surface wasn’t practical due to constant replenishment. The existing timber edging around the area was a trip hazard therefore, a full removal and replacement was required
One stipulation from the school was that they did not want monkey bars. This was due to safety concerns. The school wanted our expert ideas and suggestions for the adventure playground. They wanted to make the space safe but exciting so we had the opportunity to use our creativity on the plans.
The PTA were funding the project and managed to raise £40,000. As with all schools they had to obtain 3 quotes and designs for best value.
We created a bespoke FreeFlow adventure trail that sat on blue and green rubber mulch. The rubber mulch removed the issue of needing to replenish the surface. We also included blue ropes and timbers to match the school colours. Our design was preferred and although not the cheapest it did offer the best value.
The transformation of the adventure playground is amazing and the children are loving it!
