Judith was advised by ESP Play that the absolute best course of action, to guarantee quality and longevity, would be to completely remove the existing surface along with the tree stumps and subsequent roots and to resurface it. We explained that if the existing stumps and roots were left in situ, they would more than likely affect the new surface in the same way. Judith decided that artificial grass would be the best solution, she felt it would brighten up the play area as well as being much cleaner.

The team, once on site, got to work removing all of the existing rubber mulch surfacing, a tree surgeon then removed the stumps and roots so that the installation of the new sub base along with the artificial grass surface could begin.

Judith was absolutely right, the area once complete, was far cleaner and brighter than ever before, it was also so far more functional and had not one tree stump or trip hazard in sight.

On completion Judith said she was “over the moon with their new play area that they have waited so long for” and she was “so impressed that it was completed in only three days” too! She said “the install team are an absolute credit to ESP and were so helpful.” They would definitely recommend ESP and would work with us again. Most importantly, she said that “even the parents have commented on how great it looks and what a difference it has made.”
