Blackmoor Park Junior School Playground in Liverpool

Blackmoor Park Junior School is a vibrant, inclusive school where they are committed to providing a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment in which they can nurture the achievements of every child.

The school wanted to develop the main playground which was a dull, uninviting tarmac space with an old existing trim trail that wasn’t challenging enough for the children and the existing picnic tables were rotten. The school do have a huge field however, this is not accessible for most of the year as it gets very boggy due to the North West weather so, the school wanted to concentrate on developing the tarmac space. They wanted to create clear zoned areas and provide the children with as much as the budget would allow.

Helping the school with the design to ensure we met the needs of the children as well as the budget we created a chill out area with picnic tables, planters and benches for those looking for some quiet time. A physical activity area to get the children active where we included our Tangled Huntsman with Slide and Tangled Huntsman with Tyre Pass to accommodate as many children as possible. The school also have a performance area for the little ones to test out their acting skills and an octagonal shelter that can be used for outdoor learning and a place to shelter from the weather. We also included our high-grade artificial grass to brighten up the space and add a natural, landscaped theme.

The staff are delighted with the service received throughout the project. The completed works are to the highest standard and the children love the new equipment.
