Bells Farm Primary School Playground in Birmingham

The client originally sought advice on maintenance and repairs to their existing equipment and wetpour surfacing. It was clear on inspection of the site, this would not be economically viable.
Location: Birmingham
Budget – 50k
Project Brief.
Redevelopment of a reflective/ Quiet space and climbing Zone
User group – aged 5-11yrs.
The client originally sought advice on maintenance and repairs to their existing equipment and wetpour surfacing. It was clear on inspection of the site, this would not be economically viable. The play equipment showed significant signs of rot, infestation and the wetpour surface had significantly shrunk, presenting receding perimeter edges and numerous holes, hollows, and depressions.
The school accepted these findings and wished to explore costs associated with full site clearance and the installation of like equipment.
Project Delivery.
Full site clearance including the removal and disposal of all existing play equipment in preparation for wetpour edge and hole repairs. The existing wetpour would now provide a suitable sub structure for the new artificial grass. Main features to the new play spaces included the tangled black widow and an octagonal shelter.
Project Outcome.
Debby is delighted with the standard of service demonstrated by ESP, from initial contact through to works completion. The project was completed on time and despite the gestation period spanning through Covid and the prevailing economic challenges, Ed kept me updated throughout. We would not hesitate to reach out to ESP again with future projects.
