Baildon Glen Primary School, Bradford

Baildon Glen Primary part of the Exceed Academies Trust needed to revamp the EYFS area. The staff were looking to renovate their outdoor EYFS area as it had areas that were no longer fit for purpose and contained health and safety hazards. The existing equipment was at the end of its life. This made the area dangerous with water features that didn’t work and lots of timbers rotting.

We removed all of the existing equipment and added new climbing structure, mud kitchen and water play as well as a stage. New planters and sheltered areas. A sensory roadway which also has a wetpour ramp

We then added pockets of artificial grass for a nice green natural looking environment to brighten the area up. The completed installation shows how a dull and worn playground can be transformed in to a bright natural learning environment that not only adds play value but now fits with the curriculum.
