The Brief
The school had successfully fundraised a set budget and wished to introduce climbing equipment to the school grounds for use by both infant and junior pupils. The key objective was to maximise the available budget while ensuring the equipment could be accessed and enjoyed by as many children as possible.
Our Solution
A linked, low-level trim trail was installed to provide appropriate challenge for older children while remaining accessible for infant-aged pupils. The low height of the equipment ensured inclusive use across age groups and abilities.
What We Delivered
- A range of gross motor challenges, including balance, upper-body strength, coordination, and agility.
- Installation was completed disruption-free during the summer term, allowing school leavers to enjoy and access the new equipment before moving on to secondary school.
- Independently inspected to confirm the equipment’s compliance with EN 1176 safety standards.
The Outcome
A striking wooden trim trail, finished with bespoke blue ropework designed to reflect and complement the school’s branding colours.
By keeping the equipment at a low level, the school was also able to focus the available budget on maximising play value and equipment provision, without the need for additional safety surfacing, ensuring the greatest possible impact from the funds raised
