Spectator Rails

Zaun Spectator Rails are specifically designed to improve safety for both players and spectators. When hosting any spectator sport, there is a requirement to keep an appropriate barrier between the crowd and the game area. Our spectator rail fencing creates a safe area around the perimeter, keeping players and spectators safe during play. Manufactured to the highest quality from a strong tubular section and supplied with your choice of mesh infills, making our spectator railings lightweight, robust and attractive. Each spectator rail can be supplied without mesh or various mesh infills, including Duo Sports and Super Rebound. Each mesh infill is supplied with EPDM rubber inserts to insulate the panels from the noise and vibrations that occur from impacts during play, while stylish fixings hold the horizontal railings. In addition, each mesh panel is fixed to the posts using a full-length clamp bar, which keeps the mesh tight and secure, making it difficult for vandals to damage the panel to post fixings. All Zaun spectator railing systems include a fence safety channel. Designed to be used on low-level fencing to protect players and spectators from the sharp edges of the welded mesh panels. To complete the perimeter, gates can be designed to any size to allow maintenance equipment unfettered access to the sports pitch or demarcation zone. In addition, each gate can be supplied with your choice of locking mechanism for security, which can reduce the number of trespassers accessing the pitch without permission. Zaun Spectator Rails can be manufactured to any pitch size and cost-effective and robust touchline solution designed to last. A kickboard wooden section can also be fixed to the base of the mesh panels for hockey and field sports applications. Solid panel infills are also available for advertising space. As standard, the Zaun Spectator Rail is designed to BS 1722 part 14 as a fence and not as part of a fall restraint or crowd control barrier as used in a grandstand. A standard spectator rail for a sports pitch has a specified design load of 360N/m applied at 1.1m. However, the Zaun Spectator rail is designed to withstand double that at 700N/m at 1.1m.
