Sensory Play Tunnel
Spark curiosity, imagination and sensory exploration with the Sensory Play Tunnel from ESP PLAY. Beautifully designed and packed with engaging features, this striking play unit creates an immersive, sensory-rich environment where children can crawl, explore, touch, look and discover — all within one captivating piece of equipment. Perfect for nurseries, primary schools, EYFS outdoor provisions, SEN settings, parks and community play areas, the Sensory Play Tunnel is a wonderful way to bring sensory play to life outdoors.
A Truly Sensory Experience
The Sensory Play Tunnel has been carefully designed to engage multiple senses at once. Soft, tactile artificial grass panels line the walls of the tunnel, inviting children to touch and feel as they explore. Coloured acrylic windows let natural light filter through in beautiful shades, transforming the interior with changing colours as the sun moves throughout the day. Clear viewing panels offer peek-through opportunities for sociable play and curious observation, while the tunnel form itself encourages children to crawl, hide and adventure their way from one end to the other.
The result is a multi-sensory environment that supports visual, tactile, proprioceptive and imaginative development — all in a way that feels exciting, playful and welcoming.
Supporting Early Years Development
For early years and SEN settings, the Sensory Play Tunnel offers exceptional value. Crawling and moving through the tunnel supports the development of gross motor skills, coordination, balance and body awareness, while the sensory features support concentration, regulation and engagement for children of all abilities. It is particularly beneficial for children with sensory processing needs, providing a calm, contained environment that helps them feel safe, focused and ready to explore.
The tunnel also encourages imaginative role play, storytelling and cooperative play, with children naturally creating their own adventures — from secret hideouts and magical caves to space tunnels and woodland dens.
Beautifully Designed in Natural Timber
The Sensory Play Tunnel is crafted using premium-quality timber, giving the unit a warm, natural finish that blends beautifully into early years outdoor provisions, natural play schemes and landscaped environments. The clean lines and modern silhouette ensure it looks just as at home in contemporary settings as it does in traditional nursery and school gardens.
