Little Ladybird Play Tower
The Little Ladybird Play Tower is a compact single-tower timber play structure designed for smaller playgrounds, with plenty of opportunities for children to climb, crawl, explore and discover. Its clever footprint makes it ideal where space is limited, while the distinctive ESP Play design style gives it plenty of character and makes it an engaging choice for school and nursery playgrounds.
At the heart of the Little Ladybird is its raised play tower, with a crawl tunnel tucked underneath to create an extra route through the equipment. The tower gives children the excitement of elevated play while the tunnel provides an accessible ground-level activity.
The roof and barrier panels add another layer of interest. Sensory perspex panels in bright green and orange bring colour and light into the tower, encouraging children to look through, around and beyond the equipment as they play. The panels provide visual stimulation while giving the Little Ladybird the bold, friendly appearance that makes it instantly recognisable as part of the ESP Play range.
Its compact footprint makes the Little Ladybird particularly well suited to nurseries, early years settings and primary schools where playground space needs to work hard. Younger children can build confidence climbing to the raised platform, while the crawl tunnel provides a lower-level route that encourages movement, exploration and imaginative play. Children can also play alongside one another, making the tower a natural place for social interaction as well as physical activity.
The combination of a small footprint, sensory features and straightforward climbing makes the Little Ladybird a versatile choice for early years and school environments. It offers plenty for children to see, touch, climb through and explore without taking over the playground, making it easy to combine with other outdoor play equipment and create a varied play space.
Like all ESP Play equipment, the Little Ladybird is manufactured in the UK using laminated timber. Laminated timber is engineered by bonding layers of graded timber under pressure, producing posts that are stronger, straighter and far more resistant to twisting, warping and splitting than solid sawn timber. The result is a frame that holds its shape season after season, with clean lines and a smooth finish that's kinder to small hands. All timber is pressure-treated for long-term protection against rot and insect attack.
Designed, engineered and built by our own team, the Little Ladybird is installed by ESP Play and supported by our aftercare service, giving schools and nurseries a compact, durable and characterful timber play tower that's designed to be enjoyed year after year.
