Suitable Age Groups
EYFS Cobweb
Spark big adventures for little climbers with the ESP EYFS Cobweb, an EYFS climbing frame designed especially for children in nursery, reception and Year 1. Angled timber poles rise to a central peak, with rope ladders and climbing ramps reaching out in different directions to create a web of routes for young explorers.
Designed Around Early Years Development
Physical development is a prime area of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and the Cobweb puts it at the heart of outdoor play. Children climb the rope ladders, haul themselves up the angled ramps and explore the netting at the centre, building gross motor skills, grip strength, balance and coordination. Choosing a route and working out how to reach the top also encourages problem-solving, perseverance and safe, manageable risk-taking.
Sized for Little Learners
Everything about the Cobweb is scaled for younger children aged around 3 to 6. The gentle angled ramps and rope ladders give an achievable way up for first-time climbers, while multiple routes offer extra challenge as confidence grows. Because it can be approached from several sides at once, lots of children can play together, supporting turn-taking, communication and cooperative play, all key parts of personal, social and emotional development.
Natural Timber, Built to Last
Natural timber poles paired with bold black posts give the Cobweb a striking, playful look that sits beautifully in nursery gardens and school playgrounds. Strong ropes and secure fixings are made for everyday use outdoors. Like all ESP equipment, it's manufactured and installed to BS EN 1176.
