The KinderGate is self-closing and conforms to the BS EN 1176 standard for playground equipment, making it the ideal choice for use around playgrounds, recreation areas, parks and schools.
KinderGate Self Closing Gate is manufactured to comply with BS EN 1176 for playground equipment, making it free from finger traps, crush points and shear actions that could cause injury. The KinderGate has an invisible, built-in hydraulic gate closer that is completely built into the gate frame, providing a fully shielded gate closer that prevents vandalism. The aesthetic closing system both opens and closes the gate comfortably and features an adjustable closing speed to comply with RoSPA guidelines. This self-closing mechanism makes the KinderGate Self-Closing Gate virtually impossible to slam shut and stops the gate from bouncing back off the post when pushed hard. An anti-trap mechanism ensures the self-closing gate cannot swing beyond its stop point. Available 1000mm or 1200mm high, in a Hot Dip Galvanised finish to BS EN ISO 1461 or Galvanised and Polyester Powder Coated. Supplied in yellow (RAL1021) or red (RAL3000) as standard (other colours are available upon request) to highlight the exit point on a playground. We only use timber that has been responsibly sourced from managed forests with the FSC accreditation.
Timber Treatment
We pressure treat all our timber with Tanalith E wood preservative after all of our manufacturing processes are complete to class 4 which prevents against all forms of wood decay and insect attack.
Steel Corded Ropes
Colourful steel cored polypropylene ropes are used to ensure safety, durability, and vandal resistance.
Anti-slip Panels
Anti-slip panels are available with a grey or red rubberised all-weather anti-slip coating with a button profile bonded to a black HDPE plastic sheet.
HDPE Panels
High Density Polyethylene panel are highly durable and vandal resistant. The multicolored panels allow for intricate designs to be routed for additional play value.
Handholds
Large size professional handholds made from resin bound sand with stainless steel threaded inserts and anti-spin secondary fixing point.
Timber Paint
A high quality, satin finish, oil-based wood stain that is child-friendly and won’t stain clothes or peel away from the timber.
Painted Steelwork
Steelwork is either aluminium or galvanised mild steel and is treated and primed prior to receiving a vibrant painted finish.
