Christ Church Bentinck CofE Primary School EYFS Development
Christ Church Bentinck CofE Primary School in North London approached ESP Play to update and enhance their EYFS outdoor play area.
Location: North London
Overview
With a budget of £10,000, the school wanted to introduce new play opportunities while working within the constraints of a recently laid play surface.
The project is a great example of how no job is too small or too large for ESP Play. Whether it is a £10,000 EYFS refresh or a major £150,000 playground development, we provide the same level of care, expertise and attention to detail.
The Brief
The school wanted to refresh its EYFS area with new equipment that would provide children with additional opportunities for physical development, exploration and imaginative play.
However, there was an important consideration: the surface had recently been laid, meaning nothing could be dug into the ground.
The Challenge
The newly installed surface meant that traditional in-ground installation methods were not an option.
Rather than allowing this restriction to limit the scheme, our team adapted the design around the existing conditions.
We utilised our freestanding equipment range, allowing play equipment to be installed without disturbing the newly laid surface. We also adapted elements from our standard range to create freestanding versions, giving the school greater flexibility in the equipment they could include.
This allowed us to deliver a practical and engaging EYFS area without compromising the existing surfacing.
Installation
With careful planning and preparation, the entire project was completed in just one day.
The efficient installation process minimised disruption to the school and allowed the updated area to be handed back quickly.
The Result
The completed development provides the school with a refreshed EYFS environment, introducing new opportunities for active and imaginative play while working successfully around the existing surface.
It also demonstrates the flexibility of ESP Play’s design and installation teams. By adapting our standard solutions to suit the site, we were able to deliver a high-quality result within a relatively modest budget and challenging installation conditions.
No Job Too Small or Too Large
At ESP Play, we believe every project deserves the same level of attention, regardless of its size.
From small EYFS improvements and individual equipment installations through to large-scale school and community playground developments, our in-house design, manufacturing and installation teams work together to deliver the right solution for each individual site.
This project may have been a £10,000 development completed in a single day, but the attention to detail and commitment to delivering a quality finished product remained exactly the same.
No job is too small or too large for ESP Play.
