New LEAP Play Area at Thoresby Vale, Mansfield Designed and Installed by ESP PLAY for Barratt Redrow North Midlands

ESP PLAY is delighted to showcase a fantastic new LEAP (Local Equipped Area for Play) recently completed on behalf of Barratt Redrow North Midlands at their flagship new development, Thoresby Vale, in Mansfield. Situated in the heart of the housing development, this attractive new play area offers residents a welcoming community space where children can play, families can gather and neighbours can connect.
The Playground Project
The installation forms part of Barratt Redrow's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality play areas as a core element of their placemaking strategy across all their developments. By investing in well-designed outdoor amenities, Barratt Redrow helps create thriving, family-friendly communities and ESP PLAY were proud to support that vision with a play area built to the highest standards of design, safety and durability. Securely enclosed within bow-top fencing, the new LEAP boasts an impressive range of equipment to keep children entertained and active. The centrepiece is a multi-activity play tower, packed with climbing, sliding and exploring features to challenge and excite young adventurers. Alongside it sits a beautifully crafted Robinia see-saw, bringing a natural, characterful touch to the design while offering classic, sociable play. A roundabout adds spinning fun for groups of friends, while a small timber trim trail encourages balance, coordination and physical development through a series of engaging challenges. A selection of swings completes the play offering, catering to a range of ages and abilities so every child can find their favourite spot. For parents, carers and residents, comfortable seating has been thoughtfully positioned throughout the area, providing the perfect place to relax, supervise and enjoy the surroundings while the children play.
