A key stage 1 project completed at Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School includes a fun KS1 climbing frame on rubber mulch surfacing transforming the area.

The space for development was situated on the edge of the main playground and was surfaced with playcarpet. It had a play ship at one end and a large planter at the other that were both showing signs of rot. The playcarpet was uneven due to trees/roots in the area and the staff were concerned with this causing trip hazards. We removed the playcarpet, ship and planter providing a blank canvas for us to work with. The trees remain in situ at the schools request.

Having worked at the school back in 2020 in the KS2 playground, the staff wanted something similar but a little less challenging. The KS2 playground had our tangled huntsman climbing frame so we chose our jungle weaver with climbing wall for the KS1 area. The area has been resurfaced with rubber mulch which is more durable for area with trees/roots.

The Estates Manager Mark said “The work completed is excellent and the guys doing the install were great to work with. We are really happy with the works and service and we will definitely work with ESP Play again in the future.”
