The Mall School

This one of our stunning playground case studies. The Mall School is an independent preparatory school and nursery for boys and girls, in Twickenham, London. Tracey, the school development officer, reached out to us with an interest in resurfacing the junior playground. The primary surface requirement was for resin bonded gravel, with the addition of some artificial grass to enhance the aesthetics.. Additionally, they wanted to refurbish part of the existing climbing frame.

After the free site consultation and survey, the school enquired about incorporating a roadway into the surface. Traditionally, roadways are constructed with playground markings, wetpour, or block paving, so this was an unusual request for us. Our creative team crafted the roadway using silver/grey resin-bonded gravel, complete with a roundabout and parking bays. The maple resin-bound gravel provides a striking contrast. We installed our premium artificial grass beneath the existing structure and around the seating area. Furthermore, two long planters were placed on top of the new rubber mulch surfacing beneath the windows.

The school team were delighted with the design layout. We successfully captured their vision, which led them to place an order with us.. The space has completely transformed and the roadway has provided an additional activity for the children.
